Royal party games week 4

We've arrived to week 4 (and the final week) in our series featuring Royal Party Games. We hope you've enjoyed the posts and gathered some fun ideas to try out at your next party! A proper royal ball wouldn't be complete without music and this week's games all share a musical theme. So grab your dancing shoes, your favorite party playlist and get ready to have some fun!

Musical Tiaras

This game requires some tiara party favors such as this adorably economical option (which we found on Rhode Island Novelty) Place an amount of tiaras which is one less than the guests playing the game on a table. Cue up the music and have your guests walk around the table of tiaras, or even more fun dance their way around the table! When the music stops, guests scramble to grab a tiara to place on their heads. The guest who comes up without one can become a judge or help control the music until the game is finished. For each new round take away one tiara from the table so that the number is one less than the remaining players. Repeat each round until you have one winner!

Hot Slipper
This game has the same premise and rules as our good ole' fashioned hot potato game. The object of the game is to pass a princess slipper around the circle of guests until the music stops. The person left holding the slipper is temporarily out of the game. (For a more difficult challenge, require guests to put on and take off the slipper while passing it!)

Royal Ball Freeze Dance
This is a fun activity and one of those games kids really seem to get excited about! Call everyone into the "ballroom" and start playing Princess-themed music. The kids dance when they hear the music and every time the music stops, all of the kids freeze like a statue. Whoever doesn't freeze is out. The last one to stick around is the winner. This game is always a crowd pleaser! Younger children especially enjoy the opportunity to jump around and show off their dance moves. Perhaps even play without anyone "getting out!"
